Cyberpunk TCG publishes tournament rules ahead of Chicago ticket sales

A reference for competitive play

The publisher says the regulations cover matters including sideboards and event structure. They are aimed at competitors, tournament organisers and prospective judges preparing for organised play. Players can reach the official regulations through the link in WeirdCo’s announcement.

For anyone moving from informal games to a tournament, that is a useful preparation step: knowing how to play is only part of entering an organised event. Check the current regulations and the specific event listing before committing to a deck or making travel arrangements.

Chicago and Warsaw are on the calendar

The official regional-event page lists Chicago for December 11–13, 2026, at McCormick Place. General ticket sales are scheduled for September 30. Warsaw follows on January 30–31, 2027, at EXPO XXI, with general sales due November 11, 2026. Tickets are released in waves through Melee; those dates should not be read as a guarantee of remaining spaces.

The announced main-event format is Constructed, best-of-three. Players face eight Swiss rounds on the first main-event day. Those reaching 18 match points advance to three more Swiss rounds, followed by a top-16 elimination bracket.

Choose the ticket category carefully. The Major Leagues badge includes entry to the main event; other badge types serve attendees and, where offered, spectators. Check the event’s current listing for fees and inclusions.

Link accounts before ticket sales

WeirdCo requires players to connect their Melee and CyberpunkTCG.com accounts. Its organised-play FAQ explains both routes: start from Connected Accounts on the Cyberpunk site, or from the game-specific information section in Melee’s account settings.

The process redirects players to sign in to the other service and confirm the connection. Completing that preparation in advance avoids discovering an unfinished account step while trying to obtain a ticket. Follow the official instructions rather than creating another account unnecessarily.

Prospective judges have a separate milestone to watch. WeirdCo says details of its judge programme and testing process will be released in October. That is a forthcoming announcement, so the September rules publication should not be treated as confirmation that judge applications or testing are already open.
