CMYK launches Grabble, a five-minute party game

CMYK has launched Grabble, a five-minute party game in which players race to collect a cupful of objects before trying to outlast each other in a matching showdown. Announced on 29 September, the new edition of Naoki Fukuda’s Nuts a GoGo! offers a quick option for family game nights, with US stock available and EU preorders marked for November shipping.

Grab first, match later
The first part is a scramble. Everyone reaches into the shared box, collects pieces one at a time and drops them into a personal cup. The assortment includes traffic cones, bananas and pigs, rather than a conventional hand of cards.
When a player finishes collecting and takes the large pawn, a countdown brings the scramble to an end. The last player to stop must surrender one of their pieces to that player. Then the pace changes: players keep their collections hidden and take turns choosing an object to return to the box.
Everyone else must produce a matching object. Anyone who cannot is eliminated, and play continues until one person remains. That gives the initial scramble a purpose beyond simply grabbing the most pieces: what you collect determines which calls you can survive.
CMYK’s product listing specifies 2–6 players, ages 6 and up, with a playing time of around five minutes. Those details are also listed in Dale Yu’s launch-day review, which describes the collection and matching phases. The short duration makes it a potential filler between longer games or a quick activity when a group has only a few minutes.
A new edition with a different look
Grabble is based on Fukuda’s Nuts a GoGo!, published by Japan’s itten in 2022. It changes the presentation, with differently coloured objects made from a mixture of wood, metal and plastic. SMLXL provides the artwork for CMYK’s edition.
According to W. Eric Martin’s reporting, Grabble also concentrates on a single ruleset printed inside the box, while Nuts a GoGo! included several variants. The result is a new presentation of an existing design, rather than an expansion requiring another game.
Price and availability
At the time of writing, CMYK lists the US option as available at $24.99. Its store also offers an EU preorder option labelled for November shipping. Those are different fulfilment arrangements: European readers should not assume that the US launch means immediate local delivery.
Martin reports that wider retail availability is planned for the final quarter of 2026 or the first quarter of 2027. That is a broad window, not a confirmed date for every country or shop. Buyers should check their selected shipping option and the final delivery charges before ordering.
