Nemesis: Legacy launches with a cooperative campaign

Awaken Realms has opened crowdfunding for Nemesis: Legacy on 6 October 2026, bringing a connected, fully cooperative campaign to its science-fiction horror series. The Gamefound launch gives groups a choice between a €89 standee edition and a €129 miniature edition, with the English core box planned for late 2027.

A story that continues between sessions
Designed for one to five players, Nemesis: Legacy follows humanity’s survivors through linked missions against the alien Intruders. Awaken Realms describes a branching story in which decisions permanently affect what comes next, and advertises more than 35 hours of story in the core box. That is the publisher’s estimate, rather than a playtime we have independently tested.
The campaign and legacy design comes from Rob Daviau and Jaime Barriga, with core gameplay based on Adam Kwapiński’s Nemesis: Retaliation. BoardGameGeek’s project listing also identifies Legacy as a standalone game.
The main campaign is fully cooperative: players succeed or fail together. For groups that enjoy competing priorities, the optional Crew Logs add-on introduces personal achievements. Awaken Realms says it does not add a traitor or direct conflict between players; it gives individuals extra goals to pursue while working towards a shared result.
What the two core pledges include
The live Gamefound campaign lists a Standard Edition Core Pledge at €89 and a Special Edition Core Pledge at €129. Standard uses standees, while Special uses miniatures. Both include unlocked stretch goals, Infinity Mode and a Recharge Pack intended to reset the campaign for another playthrough.
That reset option matters for a game built around lasting changes. Finishing one campaign does not have to mean retiring the box, and a second run offers the chance to explore different choices.
The separate Zenith of Ruin prequel expansion costs €65. It tells its own campaign story but requires components from the core box. Players do not need to buy that expansion to get the main Legacy campaign.
Delivery comes in stages
The pledge cards currently display November 2027, but that should not be read as a promise that every item arrives then. Awaken Realms’ shipping explanation places the English core box in the first shipment, with expansions and stretch-goal content following in 2028. The live shipping graphic currently shows Q3 2028 for that second English wave; an earlier update said Q2, so the timetable remains provisional.
Localized editions are expected approximately six to seven months after their corresponding English shipments. Backers can also choose to wait for a single delivery.
Shipping is additional, and the campaign says VAT or sales tax applies at checkout or in the pledge manager for the EU, UK, US and Canada. This is crowdfunding for a game still in development, rather than an immediately available retail release; both the final contents and delivery dates may change.
