Ravensburger has published new Disney Lorcana rules notes ahead of Hyperia City, correcting Jukebox and clarifying interactions involving existing cards. The October 8 update gives players several rulings to check before their next game.

Jukebox needs another song

The Ruby item’s corrected ability requires the song you play to match a different card already in your discard. The song you have just played cannot satisfy that condition itself.

Belle and The Black Cauldron

Ravensburger confirms that Belle – Apprentice Inventor can banish The Black Cauldron to pay for her own free-play ability while she is underneath it. The stack first goes to the discard; Belle is then played from there.

The notes also revise multi-part effects involving several players. Everyone completes one part in turn order before proceeding to the next, rather than one player completing everything first.

Adventurous requires a character to quest when able and prevents challenges. Five older cards receive the keyword, including Cobra Bubbles – Dedicated Official and Woody – Town Sheriff. Full details and card-specific answers are in the official October 8 release notes.

More than an ink-drop preview

Playiro’s earlier Hyperia City report covers the expansion’s temporary ink resource and October release plans. This update concerns the practical rulings players need alongside that introduction.

Keep the official notes handy when an interaction is disputed: printed wording can differ from corrected wording, and a preview of a new mechanic does not cover every edge case. For a casual group learning the expansion together, agreeing which current rules document to consult gives everyone the same reference point.
