Maestro Media and Supercell are preparing to take Clash Royale: The Grand Arena to Kickstarter on 20 October 2026. The physical adaptation brings the mobile game’s tower battles to the tabletop, with cards, competing factions and Crowns to collect.
The exact campaign date is the fresh development, reported by ICv2 on 15 October. The game was already public in the summer: Maestro’s founder, Javon Frazier, named it in a 30 July publisher update, which gave an October crowdfunding window.
At a glance
- Kickstarter is planned for 20 October 2026; that is the campaign opening, rather than a retail release date.
- The competitive game is listed for 2–4 players, ages 12+, with roughly 30-minute sessions.
- Pledge prices, delivery timing and regional shipping remain details to check when the campaign opens.
Two lanes, towers and Crowns
David Gordon, Ryan Rodriguez and TAM are credited with the design. According to ICv2’s overview, players deploy cards to attack opposing towers, trying to collect more Crowns than their rivals. Battles run across two lanes, with attacks and responses to opponents’ movements central to play.
The full rules will be important reading for fans: familiar terminology alone does not show how individual cards interact or how play changes at different player counts.
Another Supercell collaboration
The Grand Arena follows Clash of Clans: The Epic Raid, another Maestro and Supercell tabletop collaboration. Maestro’s July update discussed both titles as separate games taking the franchise into physical play. The shared partners should therefore not be read as a claim that they use the same rules or that one is an expansion for the other.
For readers following adaptations of familiar screen games, the next useful milestone is the campaign itself: it should provide a basis for comparing what is included in each pledge with the eventual cost of getting a copy to the table.
What to check on launch day
An announced Kickstarter opening does not establish when a finished game will reach backers. Before pledging, check the campaign’s current production estimate, shipping destinations and charges, taxes, available languages and the contents of each edition. Those details have not been verified for this report.
For now, 20 October is the date to watch. The project is approaching crowdfunding; this announcement is not confirmation of immediate availability in shops.
